Inspired to create the kind of retreat where we would imagine staying during our own travels, we decided to build a life in Auli for our little family of three. Since 2019, we have worked painstakingly hard to weave together an integrated approach based on our backgrounds in design, technology, and building development. Our passion for good food and wine, our dedication to promoting sustainable development in the state of Uttarakhand, and most importantly, our love of nature and the Himalayan way of life, all in order to create the retreat that is now Faraway Cottages, Auli.
Through our several years of work and travel, we have drawn upon our professional knowledge and experience to create a sort of haven where the interiors are comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, the service is thoughtfully attentive, the surroundings of nature are meditative, the food is simple but delicious, and there are ample opportunities for our guests to undertake during their stay with us.
